Report to the A/V table 20 minutes before you are slated to give your presentation. A wireless slide advancer will be available. If you have problems seeing from a distance, make sure to bring glasses with you to the podium.
Presenting a slide usually takes about 1 minute, so keep the number of slides to no more than the number of minutes in your presentation. Your presentation will be projected on one large screen and viewed from a distance, so we recommend following these simple guidelines:
- Please use Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Make sure you create your presentation in the widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. Click here for help if necessary.
- Use an easy-to-read font in a size of 28 or larger with no more than 5 talking points per slide.
Remember, attendees will have to read your slides from a distance, so size should be as large as possible. Large images and graphics are also highly recommended. - Your final two slides must answer the following verbatim:
- If you only remember two things from my presentation, they should be...
- When you get back to your facility, the two things you should do are...
