ABOUT IMFA
The International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA) is a peak global not-for-profit trade association, representing and resourcing the interests of manufacturers of molded fiber products, industry suppliers, and service providers. Visit www.imfa.org to learn more.

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
Audience: CEOs, Executives, and Owners from small, family-owned up to large, integrated, packaging companies
Audience Size: Approx. 160
Purpose: To bring molded fiber executives together to discuss common challenges and opportunities, network, and learn new industry developments and perspectives. There is emphasis placed on both helping individual companies better run their businesses as well as growing and promoting the industry.
Hotel and Conference Location: Hyatt Regency Coral Gables in Miami (50 Alhambra Plaza, Coral Gables, FL 33134)
Attire: Business casual
Weather: In end of April-early May, Miami generally has highs in the low 80s (°F) and lows in the low 70s (°F).

REGISTRATION
All speakers are expected to:

  • Register for the 2025 IMFA Annual Conference (unless there has been an exception agreed with IMFA staff). The registration rate for speakers is $2,150 (the IMFA member rate) regardless of whether or not the speaker is an IMFA member.
    Note: Registration includes access to the full event. Registration will open later this year. Speakers are also responsible for making their own hotel reservations.

PRESENTATION SUGGESTIONS AND LOGISTICS
Report to the A/V table 20 minutes before you are slated to give your presentation. A wireless slide advancer will be available. If you have problems seeing from a distance, make sure to bring glasses with you to the podium.

Presenting a slide usually takes about 1 minute, so keep the number of slides to no more than the number of minutes in your presentation. Your presentation will be projected on one large screen and viewed from a distance, so we recommend following these simple guidelines: 

  • Please use Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Make sure you create your presentation in the widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio. Click here for help if necessary.
  • Use an easy-to-read font in a size of 28 or larger with no more than 5 talking points per slide.
    Remember, attendees will have to read your slides from a distance, so size should be as large as possible. Large images and graphics are also highly recommended.
  • Your final two slides must answer the following verbatim:
    • If you only remember two things from my presentation, they should be...
    • When you get back to your facility, the two things you should do are...

DELIVERABLES & DEADLINES

Speaker Commitment Form & Questionnaire are due no later than Friday, November 15.

Submit your draft presentation to Jenn Perrone, at jenn@imfa.org, by February 25, 2025.  Final presentations are due to Jenn Perrone by April 1, 2025.

In this timely presentation, Ryan will shed light on current cybersecurity trends and offer insight into the mindset of cyber criminals. He’ll show you how to evaluate risk, and ultimately, how to limit the impact of cyber-attacks both at work and at home. 

Retail is Changing. Can Paperboard Keep Up?
The retail market is undergoing major change. Amazon has acquired Whole Foods. Walmart is partnering with Google. Millennials are playing a larger role in reshaping the marketplace. In response, brand owners are pivoting in order to accommodate new market needs. During this session, Tom will illuminate these changes, discuss how the paperboard packaging industry has followed suit, and how you can stay one step ahead of the curve.
